Hi All, well my travels are over and I survived the long drives, although sciatica still playing up but not as bad as it was.
Eldest son had tests in hospital and is home and recovering but still has more tests to under go, they don't seem to be getting to the bottom of the trouble which is worrying to say the least. Although the serious issues have now been eliminated thank goodness, we now play another waiting game for the next lot of tests.
Thank you all for your good wishes and although I haven,t been able to run I have managed to walk loads with the family collie dog who came out in sympathy and limped along slowly right beside me at all times, he was a proper honey and very well behaved Hope you have all been doing well and remain injury free Thanks again for your kind wishes.

As I was rollering my sciatic pain earlier I was wondering how you were and how the long journey went. Good to hear your update, fingers crossed the remaining pain eases up soon and I hope that it isn't too long until your son gets his results and any treatment he needs - not nice playing the waiting game. Glad you managed some walks with the collie - I have a huge soft spot for collies as we used to have one. Nice to have you back OG
Glad to hear that the sciatic nerve pain has eased a little. It must be some relief that the serious issues regarding your boys health are eliminated but equally so frustrating without a firm diagnosis. Lets hope that the test results come back soon and indicate a potential treatment and positive outcome. I'm glad that the lovely family collie gave you some comfort - they seem to have a sixth sense when people are emotionally fragile don't they.
Glad to hear you 're holding up, and keeping everything crossed that they get to the bottom of your son's problems and it's positive news - you must be very worried.xx
Hello Old Girl. I'm just back from a week in the mountains to read about your problems. I obviously missed something (I blame the new site, although I suppose I'm used to it now, I have difficulty finding the people I want to find if you see what I mean. I know it's probably just me but it isn't at all intuitive.) Anyway, you must be very worried and I sincerely hope you get to the bottom of this soon. Thinking of you, Delia xox
Hi Oldgirl,so,glad to hear that things seem to be improving on the sciatica front. Great that you got some walking in with the lovely collie ( my ' stepdog' and running buddy is a collie).
Sending good vibes for speedy test results for your son,
Nice to see you back.....hope you can be up and running again very soon x
