Rather than reply to each individual post (which might take me until my next 10K) I just wanted to thank all of you who supported me through C25K and then through to my first 10K yesterday. Thanks for all your posts and replies - I feel really humbled to know I've got such a great group of virtual running mates (and a new Real Life one in TT, with DanZargo running straight past me yesterday on his 12K)...
Thanks again - whether you're at Week 1 or training for a Marathon (and who wouldn't want to now after watching the Commonwealth Games athletes) - make the run fun... Happy running!
UPDATE: For those of you wondering "what next Aussie?" - I have my eye on the Autumn 10K event along the same course in October and will continue to do 2 x 5K and a long run (60 minutes or so - slowly increasing distance) per week... I'm going to try some "speed work" at some point and "get some hills in" as well... fartlekin' in the park sounds like fun to me... in short - keep on running and mix it up a little bit to keep it fun... I'll also try to get to a more Parkruns...
Congratulations to you. It's been wonderful to share your journey. You are the one who put in all the hard work and effort I'm sure we all look forward to hearing more about your successes.
Good stuff Aus. It really is such a fantastic place here how we all support one another. You're doing great and I can see you getting addicted to races now! Well done and big big congratulations to you.
