2 25 min runs under my belt, 2 more to go until the next jump to 28 mins. Does anyone else feel that the first 5-10 mins is the hardest before hitting a stride?? Starting seems to be harder than finishing for me!

Yes I agree . I m on week 6 and the first 5 minutes or first run seems to be swimming against the tide . Once I ve had the recovery walk things seem to just fall into place . Although my first 20 min run last week was 😱. Not sure how I m going to get to week 7 . Every week I tell myself it’s ok to repeat this week , but so far I haven’t needed to . Can I ask , does your back ache after this running malarkey? My back aches more than my legs after the event 🤷♀️. Maybe it’s my age 🙈

Yep. Known physiological phenomenon as others have said above. Warming up properly and starting slowly help to make it manageable.
