Complete fail when I did this Thursday! I normally run on a Weds Fri and Sun, but due to the rain and needing to be someone I didn’t have time to run then sort myself out to be out the door on time Weds so no bother I’ll go Thurs instead, what a disaster nothing felt right once I started running, I changed my route and I think this was a huge factor mentally for me as well as the 3 rest days rather than the 2 I would have normally had
I’ve had no issue doing the longer runs well apart from looking in pain for anyone who may see me 🤣 but this time I just couldn’t manage more than 5 mins then I walked each time I tried to start to run again it was for probably less than a minute a time, in the end I gave up and walked home, I essentially had 40 mins out with about 8 mins of running in total.
I didn’t beat myself up over it and I’m about to get ready to go out now and repeat the run and hopefully I’ll be fine if not I shall repeat week six.
I won’t let this beat me, I will beat it!

It is no fun when a lot goes wrong at once . I had several times like that too.
It is even better though, when the gods are with you, sun comes out and you run effortlessly for the whole time. Mum and the kids all say how well you did, how much better you look.
You know that is what is coming next for you, don’t you?
Grab hold of that opportunity and give it a big twist! You are so nearly there. Really enjoy run 2.
I took my extremely annoying 12 year old made him run in front and pictured myself needing to catch him to tell him off 🤣🤣 (he’s available to hire) I also went my usual route and I made it! One of my faster times as well, next time I’ll picture a massive roast dinner and one of my Nans trifles waiting at the end, I’ll do the route in about 35 seconds 🤣🤣
Glad I didn’t let it bother me feeling pretty smug right now 😊
