Floored by cough and cold. Never completed Run 3 week 2. Do I start again?

Due to do final run last Sunday but then Ciara hit. Then I got cough and cold and have been in bed since.... should I start week 2 again? It’s going to take me years to complete this. Depressing ☹️

Sorry to hear you've been floored with a cough & cold, there are a lot of bugs about at the moment. I have seen it said on here that you only start to lose fitness after two weeks on no exercise, so it depends how long a lay off you have. I'd suggest that next time you go out try W3 R3 and see how you get on. If you complete it that's W3 in the bag, if it becomes a practice run you can gauge from that where you need to go. (I'd suggest probably just back to the start of W3 but there's no shame if you have to go further). I've made myself a rule that I must complete 3 consecutive runs of a week before moving on because they really do prepare us for what's coming next. I wish you a speedy recovery and further speedy progress through the C25K adventure.

As it states in the guide to the plan, you lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running, so can pick up again where you left off.

Thanks! The moment I stop coughing I am off again!

Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly. I’ve not been able to run since Friday but plan to run my w5r3 tomorrow. You should be fine as long as you are recovered from your cough and cold. Happy running 🏃‍♀️😊

Sorry to hear you are unwell. Good to read others posts saying you should not have lost condition in 2 weeks. As you have not been well it is work keeping your pace slow until you gain full health and your confidence. Take care. 😎👍
