Well tonight went out and did my first run of 2020 over 5k or 3.44 miles in 37 mins with my agility trainer, her first run for three weeks. Both pretty happy me just putting miles on legs as the BigHalf only 8 weeks away and her for a first run in three weeks. Both celebrating our runanniversary for next week. January 2019 we both started C25K and graduated in March having run once a week together usually on a Friday. We continued running through the year me a lot more but still fitting the odd one in together. Happy running everyone.

Ha. How can it be a whole year already? 😄😳 That means my Runniversary must be coming along, as I remember those dark days and punishing 90 second runs.... Happy New Year! 👏🏼👍

Thanks this half is something I needed to do in memory of my mum and to raise funds for the Pilgrims Hospice where she and I spent her last days in March 2019.

That’s fantastic Papillon.

My mum died in our nearby hospice over 12 years ago now, but I still remember & make donations with great gratitude for the care they gave.

You have been doing a wonderful job in memory of your mum - strength to your elbow!! ( Or knees?!!) 😄 I hope your half marathon goes really well. Xx

Thanks Elfe5 both mum and dad passed away using the Pilgrims Hospice my dad in 93 at 58 partly why I took up running and wanted to graduate by time I was 58 did it the day after my 58th birthday during a four day stay in the hospice as my mum passed on my graduation day after I told her I had graduated and was now a runner. So running the BigHalf marathon as it’s almost a year to the day mum passed. Will be emotional but will do it.
