I was a little late up this morning, I trapped my thumb in the car door last night, not as bad a Mrs LeeU did the other week but it still hurt quite a bit and it woke me up once or twice in the night.
I threw on the running gear and headed out into the dark, with the high winds and heavy rain... to coin Shrek, yeah, like that's going ever happen! Here's the real story.
The first paragraph is 100% true, after I got out of bed and while I was making Mrs LeeU a coffee I looked outside and decided it was going to be plan b, the treadmill for todays run.
I jumped on the treadmill first as it takes Mrs LeeU a little longer than me to wake up in a morning, I decided it was going to be a shorter faster run today of around 25 minutes.
It was weird running on the treadmill again, I know I only ran on it 2 weeks ago but it seemed strange, I set the music playing, started the treadmill and hit go on the Garmin.
25 minute fast run, just over 2 miles and 2.5 miles including the warm up/down walks.
Mrs LeeU has, quite literally, just completed week 9 run 1, she started a little quick in her new shoes but even though the first 5 minutes tired her out she completed the whole 30 minutes.
I'm hoping Saturday is better on the weather front, after all, I have a ParkRun wrist band and know how to use it
Happy running everyone.

Hope your hand is ok ( are you in competition with Mrs LeeU).
Great you managed a run on the treadmill and Mrs LeeU is doing great with her c25k.
Hope your weather is better on Saturday and remember your wristband. They are great , I got one in August, I put it on the minute I get out of bed and then you can just go about getting ready etc.
My thumb will be fine, it's just bruised I think. Having the treadmill gives me the option plus it's good for speed and hill work.
Mrs LeeU is looking forward to graduating on Monday, if the weather is fine on Saturday we may try the ParkRun, I've already run the course so know what to expect, etc, so along as it's not persisting it down we may give it a go but we'll see how Mrs LeeU feels.
I bought the 15th Anniversary bands as they were still available, its comfortable enough and sat ready on my desk next to the Aftershokz.
Ouch that poor hand. Well done both for plan b. You maybe dont want to know we have, once again, crisp blue sky weather and no rain. You know, my weather has improved immensely since I started running. Think it's just so I can write these posts
I'm glad you have blue skies but I'm a realist and appreciate that we can't always have them everywhere and that we need the rain but I'm mighty glad I didn't give the treadmill to my brother-in-law when I started running outside.
Maybe the running gods like you more than they like me, hence the blue skies, I'll sacrifice a grandchild later and see if that improves their view on me
