My first run completed!

I completed it in the dark so people wouldn’t see me puffing. Took my little dog who enjoyed it, only nearly tripped me up once... Feel virtuous now, but a long way to go. Chose Jo Whitley because she is so calming and encouraging. Next run on Friday. I have set a reminder.

Aww your dog looks knackered and all cosy now.

Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊🐕

Welcome, you've made the right decision. I predict that within a week or two, you won't care less what people think of you.

Great Job - pup looks all tired out!

Half the reason I take my dog with me is so that any people that see me will more likely be focused on her, so they wont notice my beetroot face :P She also breathes louder than me so helps to drown out my puffing too!

I know it feels like a long way now, but with the support of this forum I'm sure it will feel like no time at all :)

Happy running!

Amazing! Congratulations on starting the best journey of your life. You won’t regret it for one moment. It won’t be easy but that’s why and how you’ll grow in so many ways. Good luck! X

WTG! Glad you enjoyed n always good to have company if possible I think (even if your companion almost trips you up bless!)

You may find some runs are harder than others but there is no such thing as a bad run (I read that here somewhere) - it’s prep for your next, so don’t get disheartened as it’s normal!

Always take your time and go at a snail’s pace if needed (nothing wrong with that - check out Japanese slow running), stay hydrated and most importantly....enjoy 🤗 x

Congratulations on making the start....new Year, new you! Puppy looks gorgeous

Well done, the first one is the hardest I found! I have a long way to go too and not been on a run (huff and puff in my case) for over a week. Restarting this evening after work. Good luck!

Well done on your first run.... you need to have a word with the dog though lol

Well done! I nearly finished the 9 week session, and the best moment was when I realised, that I am doing more than I thought I could.

Have you tried the Couch to 5K app if you haven't I can really recommend it because if you don't do it correctly you can injure yourself, good luck

Well done, I always run in the dark. I take both my dogs with me, off the lead, so it's best if I do this when no-one is around. Make sure that you can see where you are going so that you don't fall.

Thanks for the advice. I have bought myself a gilet with reflective strips and am getting a flashing light for my dog. I always go somewhere that is lit but have a head torch to borrow if I need to in future...
