Back at it after the gym was closed for Christmas. Feeling good although I’ve realised the first 5 mins is always the same with me thinking my shoe laces aren’t tight enough, why on earth am I doing this, I’m not going to manage it today, I’ve got a twinge in my (insert various body parts). Then I give myself a good talking to, tell myself I’ve done it before and just keep putting one foot in front of each other and before I know it I’m speeding up for the last minute 😊 I’m beginning to think about venturing outside and had a lovely conversation with one of the gym coaches about ParkRun. Here’s to all that 2020 will bring 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Great you've now completed wk7r2. It's good to talk to yourself sometimes😂

Outside running is great, no matter what the weather. Parkrun is brilliant I hope you try it soon. Well done you 😁

Great effort, do try outside its fabulous, I cant think what it must be like doing all those runs on a treadmill. As for all those gremlins in your 1st 5 minutes, just think of all of us batting them away for you. Happy running

I don’t dislike the treadmill, headphones on and I enjoy the solitude. I’ve had trouble with my hamstrings and the physio originally advised avoiding inclines hence why I’m slightly nervous of outside 😉. But the confidence is growing and I don’t think it will be too long as I’m beginning to think about what routes I might take. Thanks for the encouragement

Well done you! I need to get W7R2 under my belt. I have missed 3 days out and feel like I’m getting a sore throat (but nothing major).

I’m glad that you posted your message as I’m going to follow your lead and just get on with it.

Thanks and well done again!
