Bit Fed up

So I didn’t do the park run because of torrential rain and high winds ( also because of balance issues didn’t want to slip in mud etc), went to the gym instead

Ran over 4K in 30 min, feeling Ok

Then on my way out went over on my ankle down a kerb....

Sod’s law I think..

Hopefully will be back soon, see how the ankle goes,

Chin up! I got shin splints around week 6, got very discouraged when I read it can take two weeks to heal, and I could hardly walk. Miraculously disappeared after two more days and now I'm on week 8!!

You're doing great and you've cracked the 30 minute mark anyway so as soon as your ankle gets better you'll get straight back to it right?

Best of luck!

Thanks very much

I was doing so well and felt quite positive about the Parkrun as I have run 5k with my pal last weekend in 37 min but in good weather,

Was worried about the heavy rain and strong winds

But, that’s life

Glad your shin splints are healed

My son had them when he played a lot of basketball, very sore

Hope it’s not too serious and you’re back at it soon, make sure you don’t rush back to exercise before you are ready. An extra day can work wonders 🤞
