Cross your fingers...

...my daughter will hopefully be doing her first C25K Run this morning. My Canicross running buddy D told her she should give it a go and lo and behold, she said yes.

Like I’ve never suggested it to her before 😂😂

The plan is the three of us are going to incorporate it into our dog walk, though I’m thinking D might not make it as she was at a Canicross event over the weekend.

Funny how children always react better to what others suggest rather than parents. Mind you, just as well otherwise teachers would really struggle with a class load of unresponsive teams 😉 hope you have a cracking run together

Totally, do that all the time when my mother thinks she can still tell me what to do and I'm about to be a granny, mind you tables turning and we're more and more trying to advise the older generation who JUST WONT LISTEN AND TAKE ADVICE ha ha

How nice your daughter is joining you in running. Good luck to her for her first run. 😊😊

Just got home. She seemed to enjoy it. I made sure to keep it to a strictly conversational pace.

Brilliant news. I have a neighbour who started a few years ago after I came back from supporting runners on here for the Winter run, she said I made her want to start. She went on to do 5, 10 and a HM and is still running. Her husband who had been running for year and years before that day could never understand what happened that particular day to get her interested, sometimes it just happens out the blue 😀.

It’s weird, right? I’ve occasionally said she should give it a go, but haven’t banged on about it. But it seems to have literally taken D mentioning it twice, and Boom!

Mind you, recently she found she couldn’t keep up with her 3yo when we did the Mini MoRun, so that maybe had an impact too.
