Broken phone.

Youngest gransprocket being quite poorly.

The phone I was using instead of broken phone getting dropped in A LOT of water.

Me wrenching my back - dog related, but not while I was running with them.

Has seen me not able to get out running (the bad back) or be in here (the phones) for about a fortnight and it feels like ages...

Anyhoo, here is the link to the Canicross at Crufts for skysue16

If memory serves, you have to fast forward to about 2h 45minutes in.

We had a great time, and Taylor Beagle was very well behaved all day. She was especially good in the arena where she only wanted to run up the red steps and into the audience twice πŸ˜€πŸΆ

Hope everyone else is managing to stay injury free.

Lovely! Looks great fun although I bet it takes a bit of practice...is it tricky? Not an option for me though I'm afraid, as we only have a cat and a hamster!🐱

It's a lot of fun, and actually pretty easy - until you're running through the woods alongside a stream, after it has rained πŸ˜€

I like the idea of you trying it with the cat and the hamster πŸ™ˆπŸ™Š

He is fully recovered, just in time for his first birthday on Monday, thank you 😊

I'm not 100% yet, don't think I can risk running for about another week. I'll see how it goes.

So glad... the small ones are a delight, but I cannot believe how I worry about our new small one when she is a bit off side :)

Yes.. take it steady, I am really listening to my body now after the IC... x

I'm walking okay, and picking up the small ones okay, so part of me is saying I'm okay to run.

I'm trying not to listen because I'm sure it will end badly.

Wow, this is brilliant Maddee - you and Taylor Beagle were brilliant and it looked great fun! I think my springer would love it , the two springers in the show were very fast! I am going to look into getting a harness for him and me - any recommendations? I suppose the Canicross website will have suggestions.

PS sorry it took so long for me to get round to watching this - forgot all about it and then came across it again by accident, glad I did - really good fun to watch.

Teehee, I haven't been around for a while either πŸ˜€

I'm a big fan of Euro (aka Zero) DC stuff they do several styles belts for humans and harnesses for dogs. The one a lot of people use is the Euro DC Short, it fits a lot of differently shaped dogs and isn't as expensive as many others.

I pointed you at the Canicross.org.uk website, yes? You can email them about clubs near you through the contact link on the page, and you'll get a reply from a very nice chap called Simon Lamen. He also runs a Facebook group facebook.com/groups/8200509... and if you look in the info/files section there's a map of where to find clubs and a list of suppliers.
