Morning everybody,

After over 2 months on IC healing my foot, major life event, fighting some flu-like illness and few common colds, I am back!

Yesterday was beautiful Monday morning. Alarm clock... well... barely survive, as it was set up for 5 am. After only few snoozes at 5:15 I was out of bed putting my running clothes on. Glass of lemon water, warm up, and off I went... with 'simple' W1R1 on my phone. This time no music, no Laura, just me, my breath, day waking up, surprised sleepy drivers passing by, and my head filled with positivity. I thought it was only 2 months, I was quite far in my running journey, I did it before, several times, so it shouldn't be difficult. Oh man, I was wrong. During first 1-minute-run I was thinking, no worries, it's just warm up, I will get it and it will get easier. It didn't. I couldn't find the pace. I was very conscious about my foot. Pounding heart wasn't really helping, and feeling of compressed chest either. But I completed all 8 runs :) Of course all followed by a proper stretching , nice shower, and healthy breakfast.

Today, I am sore. Despite a warm bath at the end of the day. It may be also due to loads of housework and long afternoon walk with my dog. She had a very good pace, as we did 5.6km in 1 hour walking, and she had some river/canal swim, so there was a slower part. I am during journey to discover such energy level as my dog has :P

Healing myself today with some gentle 15-min yoga session, and maybe, just maybe a abs workout after work. Can't wait to see if tomorrow's run will be easier. I will take Laura with me, just for additional motivation and companion.

Happy running!

Welcome back IgaT ...it’s been a while! I’m glad your foot is feeling better although it sounds like it’s not 100%?? You’ll have to be careful on it...i found swimming a great help for my ankle.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, the rhythm just doesn’t come does it? But, you fought through it & here you are...well done for that grit you showed. Nice & steady on tomorrow’s run...x

I am checking my running shoes with different lacing, as I think it might've been the reason for my tendonitis. If it won't help, I have plan B - another running shoes. They are white O_O but those are the only ones I found comfortable (in my size). So I may be a wierdo running in white shoes. Well they won't be white for long. Grass, mud, regular dirt will make them more real and interesting ;)

I think tomorrow will be better run with more rhythm and easier breathing. Today my body was probably in shock what's going on. And tomorrow it will remind itself what it is all about ;)

Have a great day
