The C25K group I've been coaxing / coaching / assisting joined me for a slightly earlier start as we use the local parkrun for the celebration that is graduation day!!! π
As one of my VRBs knew one of my C25K group, today also became a VRB meet up!
Wow! What an event! A grand day out!
I have to say, that I was really torn from group to group. Priority of course to my new C25K group but so fantastic to see VRBs again, and then all the parkrun volunteers.
It might have been mentioned in other posts but a lot of VRBs got PBs and better than average times. We do have a flat course so parkrun tourists are most welcome to come and shoot for a new PB. ππππ
If you can (or try to) touch your toes, that might help your hamstring tightness.
Stretch as far as you can comfortably for 30 seconds, straighten up for 10 seconds then stretch again. You should find you can stretch a bit further the second time. Repeat if you want to. I never repeat more than 3 times myself as I feel like it might do more harm than good to stretch too far or for too long.
Yes thanks. My weekly regimen is 2 x 5k and 1x10k. Oddly my first ever 10k is the one to beat but my last two have been my second best efforts. Off to Zanzibar for a weeks diving hoping to do a couple of 5s there. Got a 5k event in Paphos on the 24th then back to the UK where I intend to do a couple of parkruns at Framlingham and maybe the Southend Pudding race.!
