Well, I’ve only gone and done it!
I started C25K on 1st November. Today was my graduation run - I’d promised to cheer a friend at the parkrun today but she didn’t realise I’d be doing it from the track behind her.
The trouble was, I didn’t know how far I could run. I knew how far I _had_ run, and I knew I wasn’t going to do 5K in the 30 mins. But I hadn’t yet run out of legs or breath when doing C25K so I was hopeful that I could keep going. But to start at a run and risk running out of puff by the end, or start with the warm up walk and hopefully still be running at the finish?
No guts, no glory! I decided to run from the off and see how it went. I had Laura in my ear for the session for form’s sake and it was great to hear her congratulating me notwithstanding the distance I still had to run.
On the last corner my friend was shouting me on - she ran the final stretch with me, having already finished ten minutes before. Amazingly I had enough left in the tank for an uphill sprint finish - must have been the endorphins!
I am so chuffed at having done this, and so grateful to have had the help of this incredible app and this brilliant community.
Felling just brilliant!
