Lovely 4K run this morning- 10 degrees, sunshine and just a few big puddles and muddy patches en route.
If I’m honest post graduation has been both liberating (setting my own goals and no coach in my ear - unless I want one) but also coincided with autumn weather and now darker mornings and evenings which has meant I’ve found it hard to get motivated for 3 runs in a week. And so the mind games begin - if you let them.
today I tried listening to a non running pod cast for my distraction. Books my favourite subject👩🏫
It was perfect, I was so absorbed that I forgot about usual running challenges in my head and just ran. Even inspired to run extra 5 mins.
Will definitely be listening to pod cast again.
Happy running everyone 🏃♀️

Well done! Sounds like a fantastic run and a great idea to listen to podcasts to take your mind off it. I sometimes do this too 👍🏼
-10 run did you enjoy running in those temperatures. The coldest I've ran in was -3 and I think it's great for running. I've never listen to a podcast as I like my music . 😊
No 10 degrees not -10! No way I would be out there if it was that cold 🥶🙂. Sometimes the music is great but sometimes I don’t want a beat/tempo I just want to zone out at my own pace and as it happens the pace turns out to be no different when listening to pod cast. So win win!
Interesting......I haven’t yet settled on if I have noise or not. If I don’t I count randomly. If I have music it’s too noisy. Thanks for the tip, I think I’ll try a podcast 😁👍
