C25k on a treadmill?

Hi All

I’m about to attempt c25k but on a treadmill. Asthma and dodgy knees makes that a better option for me I hope.

Has anybody else tried this? Any advice welcome.

Thanks

I did it all on the treadmill, then went on to 10k on treadmill too - it's very doable :)

A word of advice would be to put the incline to 1.5 to better mimic effort outside if you want to transfer outside at any point

It can get boring so get either good music, podcasts or something good to watch while you're running, so as you don't stare at those numbers too much

Had my first go today. Stayed on the flat for now but will progress the incline. Thanks x

The incline advice has kind of become embedded but actually it’s only really necessary for elite runners: apparently a 1% incline doesn’t make much difference to us mere mortals 🙂

Sorry can’t advise on the Treadmill but just want to congratulate you on starting C25K and wish you luck!

I’m currently on week 6 and doing it on a treadmill. My tip is to stick a post-it note over the time! 😊

30 minutes of running, which you will be doing pretty soon, is going to increase your health, fitness and life expectancy... it doesn’t matter if you do that on a treadmill or outdoors, your legs heart and lungs cannot are where they are, it’s all the same in that respect, and only a little different in how it feels.

Welcome to the forum... enjoy your journey

I completed c25k on treadmill and I’m still using for consolidating runs. I listen to music and try not to think about how long is left to run. I have a piece of cardboard covering the time.
