Is anyone else doing this on the treadmill? I have one at home and it's so much more easier for me at the moment as i don't feel confident enough to run outside yet, My plan was to do c25k on the treadmill then once completed venture outside however I know it's a lot more easier to complete on a treadmill

A treadmill is ok occasionally but there is nothing like getting out in the open air. I'm lucky as I live in a rural area and have some great places to run. But even city folk have parks. Get out and really enjoy your running.

Good luck.

I'm using a treadmill, like you I don't feel confident yet, I live in a village but not a lot of safe places to run but will find somewhere when I get up more stamina.... Good luck

Shivani05 is your font of knowledge on treadmill running. As a lot of running is in the head as well as the legs, running where you feel confident and comfortable is a big thing. Either way whether tarmac, trails, tracks or treadmills I hope you enjoy your running

I completed most of mine on a treadmill as this felt safer at the times l could run. So good luck where ever you run :)

Hi. I completed the entire programme on a treadmill and really enjoyed it. It meant that I could concentrate on my running and my progress and not have to worry about traffic, crossing roads, mad dogs, wrong weather, getting mugged, falling down a rabbit hole etc etc.

I only graduated on Friday and I'm planning to complete some consolidation runs (managed my first 5k today!) and then I plan to move to the great outdoors as my ultimate aim is to complete a Park Run. I'm not expecting to manage 30 minutes of outdoors running straight away tho. I think I have to be realistic about that and build up to it.

Wherever you're running, you're not sitting on the couch thinking about it so just enjoy the fact that you're getting healthier with every step!

Good luck!

I steeled myself to start running outside at the beginning of the plan and dreaded running into people I know, which I did, of course. I got used to that and realised that it wasn't a problem.

Then, last week, I was in a strange place, and decided to go to the gym attached to the hotel and dreaded people I didn't know seeing me.

Those demons come in all forms, don't they?

What I learned is, just run, no-one gives a damn about me. And those who do are just impressed at what I have achieved.
