62 years old and enjoying the C25K although its tough going at times, Im wondering about doing some of the remaining runs on a treadmill if the weather is too icy or horrible.
I know form previous experience that it is easier on a treadmill and this puts me off as I want to do it properly, does anyone else use a treadmill for C25K?

Treadmill running is still “proper” running. There’s nothing on the app that says you have to run outdoors. If you want to do some runs on the treadmill, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. It would be a shame for anyone to feel that doing Couch to 5k on a treadmill was somehow lesser. It really isn’t!
I move on to the treadmill in the winter. I work and am out early and back after dark, so for my own safety I use the treadmill. It’s still running 🤷🏻♀️ In the spring I’ll transition back to running outside. The first few runs feel like hard work but it doesn’t take long to adjust. Just do what you can. Running is running 🏃🏾 🏃♀️
I’m not an expert but by the way my legs ache in different places when running on the treadmill and road, I’d say it’s just different rather than easier.
The treadmill is easier in as much as it paces you. It’s as hard as you make it. I’ve run up to week six on one. No shame in it. It’s all running. You’re improving your health, your stamina and your well-being. Do what’s best for you. Nobody is judging you. Good luck.
I use my treadmill definitely for the bad weather especially when it’s very very icy outside. I find I run harder on the treadmill and I agree Frizzbomb67 it’s different not easier ….you are still working hard . Don’t beat yourself up about it and just enjoy it all ….outside and inside on the the treadmill👍🤣🙋♀️
I did the treadmill this morning, Im on week 7 - 25 minute runs, all was going well until the machine switched itself off 24 minutes into the run 😀......dont know why it did that, Ill have to speak to the gym. I ran for another few minutes hard to make up for it. Cant see 2 feet in front of you over here this morning, fog and ice so no chance of running outside.
