Week 4 run3

Last run of the week, tight legs after 10 minutes. So going to take more fluids on board before runs. Overall went okay just a bit slower. On holiday from tomorrow in Zante so going to re run week 4 before stepping up to wk5 on my return.

Hi persiangulf , I definitely think more water before your run and plenty of fluids the day before too..I have a water bottle on the worktop that hold 600ml and I just keep topping it up...the only time I forget to have a drink is when I get in from a run, then a couple of hours go by and I realise when I'm just about dying of thirst that I haven't had a drink!!! D'oh...Enjoy your holiday and yes, week 5 will be waiting for your return!!

Thanks never been a one for drinking loads of water, hence the reason I suffer from cramp a lot especially after bike rides. Need to change my ways and get into a routine

You will find that it makes a difference I'm sure...also making sure you warm up and do some lovely stretches before and after...even doing toe rises while I'm brushing my teeth helps! Oldfloss has a strength and flex pinned post that you might find useful??

Well done.

Hydration........2-3 litres each and every day, as per the guide to the plan.

Stretching immediately after every run, while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying them into the next run. It also aids recovery by improving blood flow.
