Week 7 done

Runs 2 and 3 of that week were definitely an improvement, getting there! Just wish I could enjoy running a bit more like everyone else seems to!

Did feel a bit stiff to start off with and had to stop for a quick stretch, but rest of the run improved. Maybe this is a lesson I should have a bit more of a stretch when I'm cooling down after running or any other activities.

Bring it on week 8 - shouldn't really be that worried about just 3 more minutes should I, but somehow I am!

Well done for getting out there 👏👏👏

I must confess I enjoy the post run feeling more than the run itself 😀

Don’t worry... I was pretty much still hating running at this stage! For some it takes time for the love to grow, and I found that easier once the pressure I was putting on myself to complete the plan was lifted... that consolidation time after graduation is brilliant for that.

Great job on another week... 2 tiny steps up now and you’re on the podium. Enjoy closing this plan out.

Thank you, that's good to know! Fingers crossed for after graduation then, as I'd really like to be able to keep it up, even if it's not running miles and miles

Well done Parky! The stretches afterwards are very helpful at this stage! You will find these consolidation runs much more satisfying as it’s now just running! Keep it slow and relaxed & the love will happen😁

Dont get me wrong I find them satisfying after the event. But the whole run is basically a countdown to the point where I can stop running!

Gonna try mixing up my listening material next time and see if it can distract me a bit!

Well done, you're doing great.

By stretching, as per the link in the guide healthunlocked.com/couchto5... immediately after every run, while muscles are still warm and supple, you pull out any contractions in your muscles, avoiding carrying them into your next run and you can improve blood flow, which can aid recovery and repair.

If you are not enjoying this, just try easing back on the pace.........it works wonders for most.

Thanks. I've already eased off on the pace lots, really not sure I can go any slower! I know everyone says that but I feel like I would just stop lol
