Week 3 nerves

So I just finished my week 2 ( for the second time ) but I’m very nervous about starting week 3 as I’m not sure I’m ready for it. I started c25k back in Feb and only restarted last week after a huge break so I did the last run of week one but found it pretty easy so I jumped straight back to week 2 which I completed yesterday. I feel like I’ve got my motivation back but I’m not sure I’m ready to kick it up a notch. The first run of my last session my hips and ankles were getting sore. I run on a treadmill just due to anxiety and embarrassment most of all. I don’t know exactly what advice I’m looking for I think I just needed to word vomit.... happy running folks! 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️

Well done for coming back.

My simple advice would be just to go out and try it. The worst that happens is you need a couple of attempts to complete R1 and move on. If you've completed W2, then you are ready for W3, but do it in your own time and to your own schedule and you'll get there.

I completely agree with sTrongFuse. No need to repeat what you know you can do. There’s no disgrace in doing a practice run on the next one - just set off and see how you go. You may surprise yourself. And if you don’t quite finish, you have set a new target to beat for next time. Think success & practice, not failure, and you’ll get there. Lots of us have done practice runs - they’re way more successful than the Couch! 🤣😄

Yeah your ready and you know you are! Go for it and amaze yourself - keep it nice and slow. A little soreness is natural after any new exercise - proves your muscles are working! Pain is another thing and shouldn't be ignored. So take your rest day and then get out there and do it - and then report back to us to say you have!
