So o.k. I'm a snail. But I did it! Can't believe I'm actually doing this at all. So pleased with my determination. Slower again today but taking on board that this isn't a timed race. I'm convinced I'm walking faster than running but I am out there. Congrats to everyone else at this point too. ππ

Snails rule! Thatβs how I graduated! Iβm a follower of Japanese Slow Jogging, when Iβm not using a podcast. Works very well for me.

Iβve been running for over a year and still have people walk past me when I βrunβ uphill. Thatβs fine, itβs not a race, itβs a get fitter pastime, a way to feel better mentally, a way to make friends. Slow is sensible and the way forward. Literally. You are doing great, well done ππ

so I now Iβve slowed down & I keep thinking snail pace is my pace & I actually do walk faster than I run π but as you say at least we are out there & off the Couch π !!!

Remember we all started at W1R1 & we all said no way can I do this!! But step back & look where we all are now!
personally for me this is a massive achievement π I have always dreamed of becoming a runner & now Iβm on my way! I also canβt wait to give up my gym membership because being outdoors is so much better than being stuck in a gym! roll on Tenerife 2020 Iβll be packing my running kit! Iβve not long got back from a holiday there, so I know where I can run & how flat it is, so it will be steady away & I WILL be a graduate π by then, so Iβll be hitting at least a good 20 -30 mins daily, Iβm working on my length of running time rather than the distance. π
Going slow is good it will get you to the end of each run. Well done you ππ
