3 miles in the bag !

Today was my 3rd run since graduating last week. I had 2 runs of 30 mins each this week 2.65 average miles so today I thought I would just see how I went. I found the first mile / mile & a half quite hard and had not found my routine - time to give myself a good talking to & get my head around it. It was a little while after this distance I found my rhythm, feeling good and it started to all fall into place. At 30 mins I decided to do another 4 minutes - when I stopped, strava said 3.01 miles !! I have never previously done a 3 mile run in my life before. I am so elated !! Woop woop πŸ™Œ

Wow, well done! I'm doing W8R3 this evening and 5k (3 miles) still feels like the impossible dream. Feel proud of yourself. You deserve itπŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Thanx Archerygoddess, 3 miles does seem an absolute world away when you start and during the course. I can’t believe that I did it. Something for me to focus on now as I was 76 metres short of the 5k / 3.1 miles, just building this up gradually I know I can get there and stick to it...... though I feel I’m suffering from a few days bad eating 😬
