This morning I couldn't decided what type of run I wanted to do, I was going to run outside with Mrs LeeU but she has been advised to lay off of all exercise for a few days until her inhaler has had time to work, she had exercise triggered asthma as a child and it seems like the running may have caused an re-occurance.
So, I jumped on the treadmill and plodded on for 30 minutes, up a 3% incline. Towards the beginning of the run, I discovered that my body now seems to think my slow run pace is too slow, my head seemed to agree so I put another .5kph on and continued. The new pace seemed to suit me so I didn't mess with it again for the rest of the run.
All in, it was a great run, a bit of a let down if I'm honest as I wanted to get outside and using Mrs LeeU would serve as a reminder I need to start slowly in the new environment. We'll see how she is on Friday/Saturday, I was going to do 55 minutes but if she's ok to run by then I will join her and delay the 55 minutes until next week.
Happy running everyone.
