Hi. Having graduated at a Parkrun this weekend I am keen to keep going to them. However, they are 9.00 on a Saturday and my regular yoga class is at 12.30.
Is it ok to do both or do I need to totally rest? The class is gentle, half yin (stretches with holds of 5 mins) with some hatha.
Any advice would be appreciated as I certainly don’t want to cause any damage by doing both.

Yes, it's brilliant. That's exactly what you should be doing after a run.

That’s great news thank you. I just wasn’t sure.

Yeah, it's stretching, it's a great post run exercise... obviously yoga can be very strenuous though, so just use common sense.

I’ll be fine, I only started in February so still taking it easy. All these new experiences are so great!

I do yoga before a run.. It's just a 20 minute youtube video, but I always feel great before a run... all the tension is gone.
Congratulations on your Parkrun graduation! Stretching & strength exercises are really important and yoga or pilates are great to compliment your running. Like Hidden I do some yoga before a run (most mornings actually) and sometimes run after work on a yoga or pilates class day (which is like yours - not very intense but good long stretches.) Happy running and yoga! 🙂
