So getting up early is the easy part.. Im quite excited about going out early with no one around but then I'm doing the intervals but dont feel like im getting anything out of it... It could be my state of mind or perhaps because i am running the same course but i dont seem to be having that adrenalin rush other people have when running... I was also a bit leggy this morning but i made it!!!.... Jut reread my post and it sounds so negative when i need to flip it and realise how far i have come in 3 weeks???
W3R2... I got nothing: So getting up early is... - Couch to 5K

Well done you...not everyone feels the rush... You are doing wonderfully.... and maybe , is there a chance you could vary your route? Maybe just reverse it... have a different run at the weekend?
Try logging what you see on your runs too.. sights sounds, people? That can make a difference and it is great to read on a wet winter's day!
Thanks u alwaya give great advice... I think its less about the running and more about changing how i feel.. Im trying to use the program to kick start a better way of life
Yes...you do need to take a step back and look at your progress. Do you feel stronger ? Better ? A bit fitter ? I often don't like running while I'm doing it (there is even a poll pinned about that) but I love the benefits. I feel better.
I don't want to be the person who couldn't run for a minute anymore.
What were your reasons for starting ? Are they still valid ? Do you have a goal ?
Thanks you're right i do feel fitter, i think its more mental where im struggling.. Its a good tip as I do need to re evaluate my goals as its easy just to put get fitter, lose weight etc without any specifics.
It does depend on how you approach it. I am goal oriented, I set myself goals so I can measure progress and feel a small sense of personal achievement when I do them, but they are also useful in seeing how far I've come.
Not everyone is wired the same. If you're happy to go with the flow then run with it (no pun intended). You just need to find what works for you.
Well done for getting out early....it really is the best part of the day. Dont over think it and try too hard to get the rush ( i rarely get it)
Just enjoy and it may happen naturally.
Just look at the positives in what you are doing and keep it going. I have to vary routes or I would get bored...i find myself looking when i go out in the car and thinking "that looks a good run route"
That will help massively....pack your trainers, there are lovely places to run in France....go early and take lots of water and put your sun cream on.
I am looking forward to running in England when i go home for Christmas.
I remember starting to feel more of a buzz running around week 5/6
I feel more of a rush after a run you keep amazing yourself.
You are doing fab though so be kind to yourself.
You are doing great . Can you maybe find a new route you just sound a bit bored 😊
