Hi am I the oldest starting this c25k? Im 62 and a half. Have avoided running ALL my life but getting fed up with always being being on a diet. So I am doing it and am now week 4. It's going well and I don't seem to be so out of breath as when I started. Any running tunes recommendactions welcome.

Well done for starting, it is a great programme. Not sure if you are the oldest - no doubt others will tell us! Can't advise on music either because I tend to use the couch to 5k+ podcasts which have music (though not always to my taste!). There was a post on here a while ago and people were listing their favourite running music. Maybe try the search function? Sorry I wasn't much help!

Welcome. We have plenty of older runners, you're in great company.

'fraid not, I seen post of at least one starting in their 70's and a number in late 60's. I started at 60 and year on wish I'd done it earlier. All the best and you'll be suprised at how much better you feel after completing C25K. My next target is a half marathon next year.

Oldest.. you must be joking! :)

There are loads of us seasoned, and slightly more mature runners. I cannot reveal my true age, as our lovely davelinks said I mustn't! let us just say, I have seen a few sunrises and a few sunsets!!! :)

You are on the way..keep posting because you will get so much support. there will be lots of suggestions for music too. I have very odd ideas about music, so maybe I am not the best to advise you :)

You are using the C25K podcast aren't you?

No floss! what I said was, that you keep saying you are old, your not!😀

Me I'm 61, did c25k and now been running over a year, and as already said wish I'd started years ago, and has worked wonders for me and others who are even older! You can do it if you've kept pretty much healthy...

If you go through the prog and keep at it, you won't regret it, and it will help greatly with controlling the weight, of course still have eat healthily but no hard & fast rules of dieting, run it off!😊

Not the oldest I am afraid.

I am a Senior Citizen or a Vintage woman. A Vintage as in years not as in Vin (French for wine), although why not?

When I look around at Parkrun, I find the younger ones more agile but I am the one getting the most encouragements and positive comments. Let's say I am not invisible.

So, go girl, we are tops
