I guess lots of you. I delayed W3R3 because of monsoonal rain yesterday. It was dry when I went out this morning but started to drizzle within two minutes - and it was glorious. My favourite run so far. An added bonus was that the rain disguised the sweat that is turned on by an invisible tap in my head every time I break into a jog. For the last two minutes of the last run I had to pass workmen who seemed to find the old girl running very entertaining. I sped up and sprinted past them and actually enjoyed it! This running lark is rather wonderful.

Running in the rain. Who knew?
Oops. W4R3. How could I put myself back a week?
Hi Puppy-love ...I agree, running in the rain is wonderful, as long as it’s not torrential! It often attracts odd looks from people as you run passed them but if they have never experienced it they have no idea how much you’re enjoying yourself! Well done on getting to the end of week 4, not long now before you’re up on that podium...dripping wet or stone dry you will feel amazing! Happy running to you x
I LOVE running in the rain! I hope you enjoy many more soggy runs! 😁
Ooh well done! So exciting isn’t it?! 👏🏻 And yesss to rain running!
Yes, running in the rain is the best 😂
Summer rain runs are so lovely! Well done you 😊
My experience is similar, except that it was my first 10 mile run when I got caught out. I'd figured that it was easy enough to check the forecast and adjust my runs to avoid the rain and that worked for ages. Then I went out for my first 10 miler, complete with sun-tan lotion and shades. I think I'd done about half a mile when a torrential downpour started (and carried on for the rest of my run). I had to carry my sunglasses so that I could see the route but, yes, running in summer rain is great! This time of year, I prefer running in the rain because it's cooler. It's kind of liberating being soaked to the skin and not really caring about it. Mind you, I suspect that winter rain won't be such a good experience.
And, well done for completing your run in style!
10 miler? Wow! Thank you for your words of encouragement and for sharing your own experience. It's so helpful to hear from people who have come through the programme. After reading this, I had a look at your profile and I found your story truly inspirational. Thanks again for taking time to help me on my journey.
Thanks and you're welcome!
