Did the first one on Monday and the second this afternoon, both completed, but I found it hard going at the end of the 25 minutes both times, I kept going and did the full 25, but I was pretty spent at the end.
Both runs were in 32 or 33 degree heat, so I suppose that would be pretty energy sapping (that’s what I am telling myself anyway!)
I am struggling to see how I could have gone for another 3 minutes (as required next week), it doesn’t sound like much but it feels like a big jump for me at the moment... maybe in cooler weather it might be possible.
But I will have faith in the program and cross that bridge (hopefully!) next week.
Anyway, one more 25 min run this week before that, hopefully that one will be more comfortable.
Well done to everyone that has been out the last few days, the temperature has been a real killer...

I have struggled massively with the heat - went out at 7.15 last night and it was still too warm for me. Am looking forward to the winter! You will manage the extra 3 minutes, you have done all the prep - be cool, don’t think about it. 😊
Isn’t it funny how we look forward to the winter!😅
I have boot camp today so if that doesn’t kill me I will be out again tomorrow, or Saturday, if the boot camp in the heat takes it out of me! both days are forecast for rain, so hopefully that will make a difference.
Plenty of water, perseverance and patience.
I’ve been struggling this week too. I completed W7R1 on Monday evening, too hot and did the second one yesterday morning around 7...already hot. I am aiming for 6ish tomorrow morning for the last one hoping it will be cool enough. I’m sure you’ll ace the next 3 minutes in the right temperature 🤒
Thanks Fred, and well done on completing the runs in the heat. Looks like the forecast for tomorrow is cooler here, I hope it is for you as well. Even a chance of some refreshing rain, wouldn’t that be a thing!
