Just me and Merlin, Canicross style.
We got out nice and early, after I woke up at ten to five and was wide awake.
I opted to run down through the livery stable, which is still a bit of a test of nerves, but today he decided to ignore the horses in favour of the rabbits. So many rabbitses! π°π°π°π°π°π° He also did a grand job of ignoring the calves, who were up against the fences, both sides of the path at one point π
I donβt normally see anyone on the route I took this morning, not as early as I am out anyway, but today there was a lot of work going on on the golf course - so maybe they have some sort of tournament on? - and I said a cheerful βhelloβ to one of the groundsmen. And on the way back I spotted one, lone golfer out on the links.
I ran until my app told me I was halfway through the run, then ran a tiny bit farther to the gate of some private land, just to use as a convenient marker for next time, more than anything, and actually that worked fine because I finished close enough to home to still do a full 5 minute cool down walk.
I did keep my eyes open in case the fox made an appearance bouncing around in the wheat field again, but alas, not today.
