Well, I don't really like posting distance/pace because I don't really care about it at the moment. I'm just enjoying being out there running. But it's the first time I've hit 5k in 30 minutes so I thought I'd post it. If anything to show that C25K is absolutely brilliant! I didn't think i'd be anywhere near here 9 weeks ago, it really is unbelievable and I'm extremely grateful for the support on here. So thank you.

It's hot out there today, I did make some walkers laugh. I was trying to run up a steep hill and I got half way up and I just turned around shouting "No chance!...I'll find another way home" (there was possibly an expletive in there)

After I graduate the first thing I'm doing is putting some hill training into my week.

Anyway, happy running everyone... Enjoy the sunshine! 🌞

Well done, Clubberlang, I just knew you would be hitting 5km by graduation! One more for Week 9,then we'll both be πŸŽ“ - one πŸš€ and one 🐌! Who'd a thunk it?!

Hidden in reply to Debston

Thanks Debs, and thanks for the support. Is it your graduation run tomorrow!? I can't believe how fast it's gone.

DebstonGraduate in reply to Hidden

I'm giving myself an extra rest day tomorrow after all the uphill running yesterday so graduation day is Friday morning for me!

Hidden in reply to Debston

Yay! We graduate on the same day! πŸŽˆπŸŽ†πŸŽ‡πŸŽ‰

Yay! 🎊 πŸ₯‚ πŸ₯‰

Nearly there for the Plan. Well done on your 5K. Speedy, speedy πŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨

Thank you! x

Nice one Clubberlang, that's a great time and thank you for posting the picture, it should hopefully inspire a few people πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘Š

For your next (and final!) run of C25K, either try running earlier or later in the day, it might make it a bit more comfortable than running in this weather. Obv make sure you're keeping yourself well hydrated πŸ’§

Hill training sounds like a plan, they don't half take it out of you, particularly on longer runs.

Don't forget to collect your graduation badge once you finish off run 3 βœ… and keep us posted on your runs after you finish the C25K programme. Maybe read this and have a think about what you want to do next, if anything:

Thanks Mike! I'll definitely keep you posted, I really enjoy this forum.

No problem, happy to hear it πŸ‘ I just checked my local park run's results - 50 people finished the last 5k parkrun in 20 minutes or under. 530 people finished between 20:01 - 30:00 and the remaining 300 people or so took longer. So even now you would have been quicker than at least 300 other people that ran it! πŸš€

The fastest guy did it in 15:45 😳

Hidden in reply to Mike_Bravo

I did parkrun last week, really enjoyed it. There's a guy at my parkrun who runs that time.. We might be talking about the same parkrun πŸ˜ƒ It's incredible, they're absolutely flying around it!

Mike_BravoGraduate in reply to Hidden

Oh cool, I'm on about the cannon hill park one in Birmingham - are you? I imagine quite a few park runs have guys somehow doing that time. I might try it over the next few weeks maybe

Hidden in reply to Mike_Bravo

I run the Stevenage park run. Yeah, you should definitely go, it's a great atmosphere.

Excellent stuff mate. 5k well done.

Hidden in reply to Daznvern

Thanks mate.

Well done you just one to go. Your hill running will take some practice but you can do it, and yes very warm today my face took longer than normal to return to not looking like a very red tomato πŸ˜‚

It starts off nice, you think... 'What a beautiful day for a run' After 15 minutes I'm looking for shade, sweating, thinking... 'Why am I running in this..WHY!?' πŸ˜“πŸ˜„

Fantastic clubberlang - what a fantastic time! Looking forward to your graduation post!

Well done. I graduated just under a year ago and it’s a milestone that still eludes me!

Enjoy the next run; it’s special.

Thank you Jay... Yeah, it's gone so fast, I'm actually a bit sad that I have to say goodbye to Michael. πŸ˜₯πŸ˜„

You can always run with him whenever you choose. I missed Jo Wiley...but someone else needed her.

Well Done Clubberlang. W9R2 for me tomorrow, then graduation day on Saturday. The day after you and Debston. Quite right too, chirpy encouragement from the two of you has dragged me along in your slipstream. Still working on getting near to 5K . Sometime! Enjoy your well deserved euphoria.

Hidden in reply to Hatman

Thanks hatman! Looking forward to your graduation post! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ†

DebstonGraduate in reply to Hatman

Heehee, we can all throw our mortar boards in the air together on Saturday then! πŸŽ“ Who knows what the next 9 weeks will bring? Exciting stuff!

Fantastic clubberlang! Getting to the 5k in 30 minutes before the end of the programme is absolutely brilliant too! Have an amazing graduation run!! ❀️
