I know the title sounds grandiose but I'm giving myself a bit if self motivation. I did W7 R1 today without too much trouble. 8 runs to go....
For those statistiatians out there, I'm running in a gym so it's easy to see changes on a level playing field (or in my case treadmill). There are a few things I've noticed that I wanted to share because I expect it's the same for everyone. Not only am I running for longer but:
I'm running further before needing a drink.
- drinking about 250ml per run compared to 500ml in week 4
- running for about 15 mins before wanting a drink
My heart rate is changing:
- max heart rate is down from167 in week 4 to 155 even though I'm running for longer
- after 5 minute walk at the end heart rate is about 125 compared to 139 two weeks ago.
I can increase speed during the run
- I'm doing 1 minute bursts of 2 kph higher than the rest of the run showing I now have extra capability and not exhausting myself just to keep up with Laura's monologue.
Just wantes to share a bit of statistical evidence alongside feeling better about every run.
