That’s it! I did my last run of the programme this morning, and I feel amazing. It was my fastest yet - I covered just over 4km. I’m planning to spend a couple of weeks getting up to 5km, however long it takes, and then building up to 10km.
2 years ago, at 29, I’d just finished 9 months of chemo and radiotherapy for non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Being stuck in bed and on the sofa for months really did a number on my fitness, and I felt daunted about trying to get strong again. I felt pretty resigned to my tired, unhappy body. I feel transformed by the last 9 weeks. I look much better, but more importantly I feel strong for the first time in a couple of years.
I mostly lurked on this forum, but it was hugely helpful to read everybody’s posts. Thank you!
