Slow running - anyone lost weight??

I love this technique. I’ve just done wk3 , r1 and have come back barely out of breath. Bearing in mind, I felt I could do much more, has anyone lost weight through this form of running?

😊, running these distances at any speed will not cause significant weight loss. But.... you will get fitter.

Honestly, I stopped weighing myself after about 6 weeks of the programme. ( So not for around a year)

Now I'm doing much longer runs I think I may just be starting a slight downward trend ( just by clothes)👍👍

It will all fall into place. Just trust it 🤩

Running tones you up... tweaks to nutrition will bring weight down slowly. Grab a tape measure and use it to monitor size... running slows weight loss at first as you build muscle, and sometimes the scales don’t give nice results, but the fitter, healthier, smaller you is allowed a pound of weight on, it’s good for the complete journey!

The good news is slower running burns fat a lot better than sprinting.

Enjoy your journey.

I have lost 20 pounds in weight. C25K and running 5K 3 times per week has helped but food and calorie intake was the main cause of weight loss. If you eat less and exercise more you lose weight. Sounds simple but it’s hard to do. I have heard of people training for a marathon who have ballooned with weight as they were exercising more and eating more.
