Slow, meditative running

I thought this might add to the idea that slow is good.

My phone ran out of electricity today, so I had to run without headphones. Having read the article, I tried to enjoy the peace, and I mostly did. It reminded me how early in the programme I would sometimes use the Simple C25K app, which just has chimes to let you know when to run - no music or anything.

running can be quite hypnotic if you get into a good run rhythm. The drumming of your feet is all you feel and hear, which takes you completely out of yourself at times. Lovely it is too!

I really like the idea of one with just chimes, although I do enjoy Laura's encouragement

Interesting..thanks for posting:)

I used to run barefoot.. many, many years ago, when competing..track running..

Lots of folk here run naked, without any tech' at all.. when they have graduated. I run and ramble ( write about it)... that is what it is about for me.. embracing the whole experience :)

As misswobble says.. just losing ourselves in the moments... wonderful!

Very interesting, thank you for that.

Not sure I'll be running barefoot but certainly agree with the general theme.

Lovely article and i so agree...My runs in the woods are are where I do meditate and ponder life. However in order to go further and for longer we need strong and efficient bodies which i think is a good aim, and certainly mine right now rather than breaking any PB's...
