W3 R3 done-suddenly getting it

Run done by 07:40 this morning. Really hard to get going and not feeling very confident/comfortable running but persevered. Suddenly part way through last run felt like my rhythm changed and if felt much easier. Not sure why/how. If I can find that again then will definitely feel this is achievable. Always start off badly. How do you get it together more quickly.

Nice running at 7.40am, I completed C25K in the morning as well, nothing is too easy no matter what time you run it at. 😊 You are progressing very well indeed. Onwards and upwards to week 4👍🏃

Your body is still warming up - pumping that oxygen round your bod, plus as a new runner you’re still building up your strength and stamina (and building muscle, bone cells, capillaries…). All this will start feeding into your running which will help. But there is a thing called the toxic 10 - first 10mins of your run while you’re warming up and your muscles want much more oxygen than walking. With my slow running technique I don’t get it so badly any more, but the first part is still the hardest. But if you’re running nice and slow it is easier at the start.
