Why does it take so much effort to get out the door? I went to bed determined to get up for my run. I woke up and just didn't want to. It was a day off from work and I had nothing else planned. So no excuse.
I finally convinced myself to get into my running gear and out of the house at 1.30pm!!! I had tears in my eyes because I was pleased that I pushed down those negative feelings.
The run was - well, let's just say, I got through it. Hehehe. That last minute of the 5 minute jogs still turn my legs to jelly.
But the smile on my face when I finished and was on the walk home. So chuffed. Wished it wasn't so hard to get up and out though.

Don't let the gremlins get the better of you, congratulations on getting out of the house at 1.30 and getting your run, well done of getting rid of those negative feelings, onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 4.
I’m with you!! Same experience for me on W4R2. I’d been doing ok by having a routine but snow threw that out and hadn’t gone out for a week. So hard to find the mojo but my work colleagues urged me to go and it was great to be outside again. Not easy but so glad I’m moving sgain
Yes - the snow threw me off too. Good that you have colleagues to encourage you. I have a colleague who is eager to do a Park Run with me. I hope to be ready for that by April. Here's hoping
Yes, I seem to find the idea of running is sometimes a bit negative but the experience of it is always positive! Don't know why I have the negative thoughts either. Well done for pushing the negatives away and getting the run done! Remember... if you have to eat a frog every day, best to do it first thing in the morning (note... no frogs were harmed in the making of this runner!).
