Week 4 - Run 1

At the beginning of each week (change of interval length) I get really nervous and the doubts begin to creep in. Yesterday morning, rest day, I woke up with a bit of an achy knee, so dreading week 4 thought to myself “no worries, have two rest days instead of the usual one”. When I woke up this morning my legs felt great, so there was that excuse out of the window 😒

I put my big girl pants on and out I went, and was pleasantly surprised. I am always slow, but tonight REALLY concentrated on going slow and steady, and by the second interval of 3 minutes wasn’t even out of breath. I kept a lid on it until the last minute of the second 5 minute run and then pushed just a little so finished out of breath, but so happy.

Nearly had a little cry (of joy), but then realised I couldn’t cry whilst out of breath 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Looking forward to run 2, because now I know I can do it.

Awesome! Well done you.

Being out of breath does have its advantages (not being able to cry) 🤣

So pleased for you x
