Had an awful bug for 2-3 days: lots of stomach pain and cramps, feeling droopy and not really eating. Woke up this morning feeling fab so had a gentle 20min jog on one of my favourite routes through woods and along the canal: I usually do two laps but just did one today. However, I couldn’t get an internet connection so couldn’t play music: I have never run without music so didn’t know how I would fare. Felt great and ran at a faster pace than usual! Possibly knowing so was only doing one lap? Maybe, but it felt good! The canal was frozen but no ice or even frost underfoot. Also including a photo of the steps that make up part of my cool down: one day I’ll run up them!

Ah, that looks so peaceful. Glad you are feeling better! I’m spending my second day resting after a bug and just want to jump into your picture in my running shoes!

That’s not a small set of steps! Enjoy conquering them one day. Great run... sometimes it’s good to be “alone” out there, just you and nature.
