So, after yesterday's W2R1 substitute (non) beginners run, and eyeing up the gloomy weather forecast for Thursday/Friday I decided to give W2 a go - strangely the legs were fine from the wake-up call they got yesterday, so was feeling cautiously optimistic. I am officially calling it W2R2. The moon was lovely, the wind less so. I took the running sets at a very easy pace although by the end of the 5th the legs were beginning to feel heavy, and again for the last set - uphill into a headwind the last 30 seconds were a struggle - first time since last year the gremlin has got into my head. But I jogged on, and felt better for it.
Loved the music from W1 but not impressed with W2 music - I found the pace rather slow, especially on the walks.
Rest day tomorrow.

I like most of the music in the podcasts but very rarely find it's the right pace for me to run to. This time round I think there was one track in week 4 that worked, but nothing else. Mostly I just go my own pace without bothering
Another bright moonlight run sounds lovely though. I'm torn between hoping for proper snow which sticks, and hoping it's safe to run this evening...!
Wind and hells, nightmare! You did well to push through that. Just make sure you're leaving at least one rest day between runs and more if you need to avoid injury and make sure your muscles have enough time to recover and repair between runs. Must have felt great leaving that gremlin in the dust.
Well done for getting out in the cold and running.π Definately due a rest day now though π
Laura's choice of music is a bit cheesy, but think of it as a rite of passage... something to be endured which you only have to listen to whilst running. Besides have you got to 'King of the world ,baby'? This made me chuckle...and there is a hip hop type track to come too which is good to run to, and much later there is Julie...π
