You’ll surprise yourself 💪🏻💪🏻
Delight not dread.. anticipation not apprehension... relax.. slow and steady and enjoy
Don’t panic ! Go out in a spirit of curiosity and enjoy seeing how it goes. You’ll probably smash it first time, but if not it doesn’t matter. You’ll learn how to get closer and closer until you do. Remember the First Rule of C25k: the only run you fail is the run you don’t go for. We know you can do it x
Read this healthunlocked.com/couchto5... have a nice long drink and relax.
Don't dread any run........... what is the worst that can happen?
Don’t worry, just slow slow slow,
Did mine yesterday. Got through it. Go slowly and you’ll be fine. You are ready for this.
Enjoy it and take it slow . you can do this 😊
A very short while ago I was where you are. I headed out convinced that I would not make it but I did. Trust the programme - it really does work. I did week 7 run 1 today - my second run of 25 mins nonstop. I still can’t quite believe it. Yes, it was tough, but not really any tougher than those 60 second runs in week 1. Believe in yourself, dig deep - and good luck.
You've run 15/16 minutes five times, you can do 20. What you will learn from this run is that the walking breaks make less difference than you thought - PROVIDED you don't go too fast. If you feel like walking - don't, just run slower instead, it makes a bigger difference than you think. You will certainly achieve this and you will probably achieve it first time.
Congratulations you are proper smashing it 👍 well done you ☺️ I love this forum. It’s so positive. My legs feel like someone else’s and so heavy 🙄 breathing wise I don’t feel as bad but my legs kill me. I’ve trained off and on for years so I know they aren’t weak but I’ve never been a runner 😬 Any advice 😬😘
The best advice is what you’ve already seen in this thread: slow down. If you are feeling as you describe the most likely reason is that you are running too fast.
Slow and steady. Trust the programme, listen to Laura! Going slower makes a huge difference. You will amaze yourself. One run at a time.
I think it's actually better if you don't peak at what the next run entails.
It scares you.
but it is a wise and MAGIC plan!
Happy running!
