After the entire MONTH that it took me to do week 4 (thanks, shin splints), I finished week 5 this week doing a MWF routine. I'm so stoked to be able to run for 20 minutes again! It was not without the gremlins though. They popped up the moment Laura said it was time to run - your shoes are too tightly laced, your shoes are too loosely laced, your feet hurt, your shins hurt, your knees hurt, your hips hurt, are you sure you want to be doing this today since you have a physically challenging weekend of work coming up, do you even like this running business enough to be doing this...
Somewhere along the halfway mark though they just vanished and I glided (read: huffed and puffed) through the second half of the run and did it! It felt as wonderful as I remember

Ha😊 thatta girl Shivani05 😊. You left those pesky gremlins behind. The first 5 mins are always the worst remember.. you will get back to 30 +minutes again. It is worth it. Are you going to do the strength and flex plan that we now have on site? I think I will.xx
Thanks Jan! I am not going to do the strength and flex, I've been doing Kayla Itsines's (very unfortunately named) bikini body guide kaylaitsines.com/collection... It is by far the most challenging workout programme I've ever done, but seems to be working because I can feel myself slowly getting stronger.
Well done for fighting loads of gremlins. I get the odd one when first start. That was a whole army of them !
I had no option but to fight them this morning I had started my regular early Friday morning run to work (4K ish). This gives me time to fit in 3 runs a week.
It's amazing what your body can do when it has too !
It's worth it as you say for that great "Sense of achievement" feeling that comes at the end !
Well done for pushing through whilst carrying the gremlins. W5R3 is just as good the second time round, isn't it?! When I got back to 20 minutes after injury it was that euphoria all over again! Bet you feel great knowing that you're well on your way to that 30 minutes.
Thanks poppy! I've let life get in the way but I'm trying to be more active here again to support the new runners (and catch up with my running family).
