You can do it! All the runs so far have prepared you, and when you’ve done it, you will feel sooooo good! Just stay slow and steady, and you’ll do just fine 👏🏻

You can! Enjoy it - and be ready to keep having to explain the smile on your face to everyone all day 😁😁😁

Just off to do mine. We can do this. I’m trusting the programme as everyone says. Slow and steady...

Enjoyed it. I just kept putting one foot in front of the other. After the first 5 mins I thought ‘I’ve run for 8 before and then I just kept thinking in terms of 5 min blocks. Really surprised when Sarah said I’d only got 2 mins left. I felt like I could have carried on but avoided the temptation. It was definitely more mental than physical. I’m thinking of looking at downloading podcasts. So far it’s Annie Lennox’s Collection that’s kept me going 😊 Here’s to next week 🏃‍♀️

Wow well done you! I bet you are so pleased.

I’m going to do mine this afternoon. I’ll take your win and channel it into mine. Thank you for the update and advice

Excuse my ignorance. Do you mean just using Annie Lennox music? After graduating I just use the c25k+ podcasts as they keep running in good time (although the music isn’t the best) as I don’t know how I’d fair running to just any music.

Yes it’s just her music. Always been a fan but I’m running on a treadmill so easier to monitor the pace probably

Everyone feels that it’s a big jump but you have followed the program so you are ready. Just take it slow and steady. It’s not a race it’s the time running that matters. Good luck .

Thank you.

It is not a big jump at all, but is in fact the shortest workout since W4.

This explains it all healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You can do this.

Thanks

Pace yourself comfortably and you'll be absolutely fine. Look forward to it rather than fear it. You're ready for it. The plan has prepared you. You've got lots of miles already in your legs. Slow and steady and you'll do it!

Nice and slow to start, slower than normal and kick it up at the end if you can.

Dont worry, you're ready for it. Just trust in the program and remember the 2 key instructions 1/ put one foot in front of the other 2/ keep doing it. That's when I keep telling myself and it seems to work.

Good luck and let us know how you get on!

I thought the same I couldn’t believe I was expected to run for that long. Keep calm, keep breathing, hold your head still do all the things you’ve been taught and GO SLOW! You’ll do it xx

I did it!!! I can’t honestly believe that unfit me could ever run for 20 minutes. I know everybody says it but really, if I can do it anyone can.

I get claudication in my legs and it hurts - but I still did it. So happy. Thank you to all who have encouragement and advice. I appreciate it 😁
