Well done you, same as you it took me some effort in the beginning to get into a rhythm; wk6r1 on sat for me.

I just feel so stiff at first and takes me a while to loosen up but at the end I got into a nice rhythm! W6R1 on Sunday for me, good luck xx

Amazing! That's my next one, what a leap from 8 mins to 20 mins- you did it! Well done

I didn't think I could though as I too thought it was a massive leap but I dowloaded my Spotify tunes (the app talks over it) pinned my ears back and just ran. I kind of counted it myself in 5 min blocks but the app does talk to you every 5 mins. Legs ached after 10 mins but I pushed on and got into a pace. Good luck you can do it x

Well done. One of the most satisfying runs of the whole program. A good bit of momentum to take you into W6.

W6 is a weird one. Especially after the highs of a nice long run and establishing a good rhythm and pace. It is worthwhile though and you will love getting back to those long runs afterwards.

What is the logic behind the difference between wk5r3 and wk6r1?

It is a build up from W5R3. But because there is a walking interval it looks easier. That's what catches us all out. However, it is longer overall. The walk intervals are important for gradually increasing stamina, but because we just see it as a break from the running we more or less discount the walking times. So it is 21 minutes total. However, you are building up with each run rather than just doing 3 runs the same to enable you to increase to 25 minutes.

Thanks, its starting to come together now. Suffered comms failure could not respond sooner; bagged wk6r1 earlier on.

Well done. Having done the same run this evening I know how tough it is. I struggled at 5 mins with the prospect of 15 mins more but managed to do it. I maintained a very slow steady pace! And downloaded a playlist on Spotify which helped. Am a bit anxious about week 6 but will give it a go.

Don't worry about wk6r1, did it this morning, I've religiously followed the mantra ' slow and steady ' get into your own rhythm asap and you will have no probs it's mind over matter from now on.

I aimed to do w6r1 yesterday but far too hot even at 9pm so instead of running went for a walk instead. Gutted I couldn't run but just wasn't gonna push myself in this heat. Walk was nice tho kept me moving those legs.
