I'm still here on the bench, so I thought it was time for a quick update.
I had ligament surgery in November which hopefully will stop me from spraining my ankle every 5 minutes. The surgeon removed a neuroma that was in my forefoot at the same time.
I was on crutches until January, then started physio. My ankle is doing well although still some way to go. Ironically, the neuroma site (which hadn't really bothered me much) has developed scar tissue after the op and is quite painful to walk on, so more physio! Might have a steroid injection in there if it doesn't improve soon.
But, I've restarted pilates with some modifications to some exercises. And this morning I went to a zumba gold class, which has really cheered me up! So, onwards and upwards. Hope you're all having a good day, on or off the bench 🏃🧘♀️🛌

Great to hear from you grumps! You seem to be well on your way back; your post sounds really positive. You are clearly a very patient patient and not about to try to take a risky shortcut in your enthusiasm for getting back to running. I am running again after my usual winter hiccups; just building up steadily and dealing with QL and piriformis issues; a pain in the back and a pain in the backside!! Onwards and upwards!🙂
Hi GOG, so sorry about your situation but you are coping very well and being positive, glad you have restarted pilates and some other exercises like your Zumba gold class, I just hope it won't be too long before you restart running
.You ask if you're all having a good day? I certainly am, early this afternoon I ran a 5K, what I liked about that run was that for the second 5K in a row all my splits were negative, that means each split kilometer was a little faster than the previous K, onwards and upwards for you, have a good day ✅✅
