After a week of no running, as I was on holiday and didn't fancy running on the twisty, narrow Cornish road with those high stone walls each side, I went out this morning determined to do the last 30 min run in the programme. Got into a rhythm, ran up all the hills (slowly 😃) and kept going until Laura said "that's it."
So pleased - didn't get to 5k in 30 mins (it was 4.2k) but I kept going that's the important thing. Not sure I would have done it without reading all the good advice on this forum that it's ok to slow down - at 60 this was so important for me. Thanks Oldfloss and everyone!

When I graduated I was only running 4.2k in my 30 min run. I carried on doing 30 min runs and used the C25k+podcasts too which have Laura coaching you. I did these for ages, plus went running for fun at different locations.
I tried the B210k after about six months of consolidation and got quite far with it, but it is tiring. This year I have recently reached the 5k mark non-stop and am enjoying repeating that goal.
Finding new routes helps a lot and having a playlist on shuffle.
You are right to be proud of yourself, running for 30 mins is a huge acheivement...keep posting as it helps with motivation.😊

Thanks Sarahb18 - we'll done to you too. I think I was getting frustrated that I didn't seem to be getting any faster - the forum helped me to see that slow and steady is OK!
Ahhh stupid auto spell thing - should be "yes- thanks"
Congratulations, you are an inspiration to those of us all, especially those earlier in the programme. Well done you! Now go and make yourself a cup of tea
