do you reckon if i do aweek at 5k then aweek at 6k and so on till i can get to 10k that would be the way forward

Move across to Bridge to 10K and follow a plan.. ju-ju- s Magic 10 is the one which many of us have done..it works and will build you up very slowly, and safely... to where you want to be.

There will be a new round starting in January..

Until then, you can keep consolidating and work on running outside.

Paul. you will enjoy it.. I have, as many of us have, done it more than once.. to get us there in the first place and to get us back on track after injury etc... It is is steady and enjoyable and I feel you will find it suits you :)

Most people continue with three runs per week, keeping two at 5k and increase the third one using the 10% rule.

Ju-ju- s plan is great, and its varied too, should keep it interesting.
