Found W2 R1 difficult

Thanks for great encouragement, I found W1 relatively easy. W2 R1 yesterday was very tough, I felt demoralised and thought I will never be a runner :-(

I really lacked energy; had a bit f a virus nothing major though. Just wondered if this was a bi of a pattern with week 2?

I will keep trying, I am not a quitter!! Loving this supportive forum!

The virus won’t help... your body is fighting it and that uses energy... so it would be normal for the run to be harder.

Well done getting the job done under those circumstances... there’s the proof that you’re not a quitter right there. Maybe an extra rest day will help, when the symptoms go your immune system is still fighting it.

Thanks for your words of encouragement! Maybe have another rest day tomorrow and run on Friday. :-)

If I am not feeling well, then I just don't bother running.

I have learned that my body needs to be working well for a run to feel enjoyable. There is no point making things difficult for yourself.........get well and it will be a whole different ball game.

Sorry to hear that you have a virus 😔

Personally I'd give the running a miss, and listen to your body... It needs to rest.

How about getting out just for abit of a walk instead, to get some fresh air?

Feel better soon x

I did W2R1 this morning ... I was running in a new place .. I found a duck pond and liked it so much ( peaceful pretty and soft underfoot) I ran round it 3 times as part of my run!

I struggled with last the 90 second bursts but kind of kept going ... ...

You are doing brilliant - keep going , as Van Morrison says there will be days like this ! ♥️
