Run or Runner

This always makes me think, are we runners? Or do we run? Just reading posts, answers, and my own thoughts, its a question that I think about now and again. We all come here for different reasons, but the goal is pretty much the same. Week one run one we run for a minute and we have started. W5R3, 20 minute run, surely that's a runner? Anyway I have graduated and still go for a run, in my head I am not a runner, is it distance? Is it time? Who really cares? Actions speak lowder than words.

Keep it going whatever we are!

For me, when the app called me a runner, it was an important moment. As the biggest motivation to keep on keeping on, through tough and easy weeks, for me comes from seeing myself as a runner, and thus someone who regular runs. Incorporating the runner identity and self image I find was a key element to allow me to get into the habit of regularly running.

I run because I am a runner. And I enjoy everything that comes with it. Including what we wear , what we eat and what we talk about, how we plan our holidays and how we plan our daily lives. What we read, watch and listen to.

I love being a runner. I might be super slow, but nevertheless I’m a runner.

Happy running.

You are a runner when you and you alone believe you are. End of!

Hearing it on the app is a great spur. Recently re graduated I am running but will consider myself to be a runner, when I am happy tired after a run rather than exhausted tired.

We are runners and we run... that is what runners do... and we run, because.... ?

Well we may have our own answer to that, but we all have the same goal... to run... and enjoy!!

I'll call myself a runner when I know it is a natural part of my routine and not one that I have to push. I am happy to be someone who runs at the moment and very happy for anyone else to call themselves runners whenever they like. When I feel like a runner, I will be a runner.
